Your Kedarkantha trek begins today. After breakfast, we will hike through a moderate ascent towards Juda ka Talab. It's a high-altitude lake surrounded by an alpine forest. We will set our camp here to spend the night.
On the third day, we’ll leave Juda Ka Talab after breakfast and head towards the Kedarkantha Base Camp, a 4-5 km trek that takes about 3-4 hours. The trail winds through thick forests and opens up to expansive meadows dusted with snow in the winter months. You’ll feel the altitude as we climb to around 10,400 feet, with panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges starting to unfold. The crisp mountain air and occasional sightings of wildlife make this leg of the journey unforgettable. Once at the base camp, we’ll settle in, rest, and prepare for the summit push the next day.
Today you will trek up to the summit, the final destination of the Kedarkantha trek. To experience the magical Kedarkantha sunrise, we will start this trek early in the morning. Enjoy the moment up there; take lots of photographs. After a while, we will start our descent to the base camp.
We will make the return journey via an alternative route through Hargaon Camp. This will not only shorten the route but also allow you to experience a different look of the surrounding area and the Himalayas than the route to ascend. At Hargaon, we will spend the night

To go to Kedarkanta, you must first get to Dehradun. There are direct buses from Delhi ISBT (Kashmiri Gate) to Dehradun. The whole trip from Delhi to Dehradun by road is around 265 kilometers, and it will take approximately 7 to 8 hours by bus. You can also take a taxi from Delhi ISBT to Dehradun and then to Sankari in our vehicle. The trek will start from Sankri, as per the itinerary.
- By Train
If you want to reach Dehradun by train, then regular trains from Delhi are available. This will be an overnight journey. From Dehradun, you can board a bus or taxi to Sankri.
- By Plane
The nearest airport to Sankri is Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun. This airport has regular flight service to all the major cities of the country. From JollyGrant, hire a taxi to reach the pick-up point in Dehradun city.
