About Badrinath

Badrinath is one of the most important and holiest pilgrimage sites of the Char Dham. Situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and was established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. Like Kedarnath, Badrinath also remains open only for 6 months in a year. Because of the great altitude of 3100 meters, the Badrinath mandir remains inaccessible during the winter. In 2026, if you are planning a Badrinath trip, then Uttarakhand Yatri has the budget-friendly Badrinath Yatra Package for you. Trusted by thousands, we have specialized tour packages to make your spiritual journey to Badrinath a memorable experience. Our packages include transport, accommodation, meals, and sightseeing, and perfectly accommodate a group of any size.

The journey will begin from Haridwar/Rishikesh towards Badrinath, a beautiful town on the way, you will pass the confluences at Rudraprayag and Devprayag. By evening, you will reach Joshimath and will have a night stay there.

it's time to pay your homage to Lord Vishnu. On day two , we will start our journey to Badrinath. On the way, you will pass through Joshimath and Pandukeshwar. After reaching Badrinath in the evening, take a holy dip at Tapt Kund and complete the Darshan of Badri Vishal. The night stay will be at Badrinath, and the next morning we will start our return journey to Rudraprayg.

Attend the morning Aarti, have your breakfast, and it's time to start for Rudraprayag. On the way, we will visit the Narsingh temple in Joshimath.

Following the same route, we will start for Haridwar/Rishikesh in the morning. This is the last leg of the journey and the Badrinath Kedarnath trip ends here. From Haridwar/Rishikesh, you can reach the nearest railway station or airport to your destination.

Badrinath Kedarnath Tour Package

A spiritual journey to Uttarakhand is incomplete without visiting both Badrinath and Kedarnath. Kedarnath is situated in the Rudraprayg district of Uttarakhand and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The present temple of Kedarnath was also established by Adi Shankaracharya and is connected with the Pandavas. Devotees on the Badrinath Yatra add Kedarnath to their itinerary because both temples are essential parts of the Char Dham Yatra. At Uttarakhand Yatri, we understand this demand of devotees, and that’s why we have a Badrinath Kedarnath tour package. This Kedar Badri trip covers a great distance and altitudes, and that’s why we have mindfully crafted the packages to offer you the best comfort and experience.

Best Time to Book Badrinath Yatra Package

In 2025, the Badrinath temple will open on May 4th and close in November. Like Kedarnath, Badrinath is also located at a higher altitude and is equally affected during monsoon and winter. May to June is the summer season and the best time of the year to visit Badrinath. This season experiences maximum footfall. The weather also remains pleasant, and the temperature is soothing. July to August is the season of the monsoon. The temple remains open, but heavy rainfall can cause landslides and road blockages.
